Five new exhibitions, performances, and new exhibitions in the collection presentation: Spring 2025 in the National Museum is packed with experiences for everyone. Female architectural pioneers and artists exploring the darker sides of nature and the human mind are among the highlights of the program. There will be several exhibitions themed around architecture, and presentations of Norwegian contemporary artists and architects.

Current exhibitions getting a new look
In the collection exhibition, several rooms get new content. Themes include global contemporary art, photography, and knitting traditions from the 18th century to the present day . The Pillar Room will change exhibition, and “Queer folk dress” is on tour.

In 2025, the National Museum offers a varied program of lectures, guided tours, artist talks and workshops related to both the collection and the temporary exhibitions. Keep an eye on the events calendar.
The National Museum is a place for the whole family, with activities in the collection presentation and workshops every weekend and during holidays.
