Oltre Terra. Why Wool Matters
This tour has 4 stories about the relationship between sheep and humans. You'll hear about topics such as co-domestication, colonialism, breeding, and wool waste, and how this relationship has become so interconnected.
Additionally, you will find an original composition by Eirik Havnes titled "Lokk for Oltre Terra" that was commissioned to accompany the exhibition. This piece of music consists exclusively of heavily manipulated field recordings from sheep farms in the Sunnmøre Alps, Norwegian shepherds calling their sheep, traditional Norwegian sheep calls, as well as recordings from the Portuguese shepherds shown in the exhibition.
