Welcome to a cup of coffee by the fire in the Pavilion!

Here we will give a brief introduction to the exhibition “New Nordic. Food, Aesthetics and Place” before entering the museum to delve into architecture and landscape in the exhibition.

The tour, which is in English, lasts approximately 45 minutes. After the guided tour you are welcome to continue exploring the exhibition on your own.
Remember to sign up in advance. The event is free of charge, but you must have an entry ticket to the museum to participate. The meeting point is the Pavilion in the square in front of the museum. Leave any coats or large bags in the museum cloakroom before joining the tour in the Pavilion.

With the exhibition “New Nordic. Food, Aesthetics and Place”, the National Museum shows how a distinctive Nordic aesthetic based on local ingredients and natural materials has established itself across architecture, design, crafts, art and food culture over the past 20 years. The exhibition is presented both inside the museum and in a specially built pavilion in the square outside the museum.
