The National Museum’s archives contain a comprehensive collection of press cuttings.
The collection is based upon the systematic collection of press cuttings, mainly from the post-war period to the present day. Parts of the collection date back to the 1800s. The newspaper archive contains extremely diverse material relating to individual artists, as well as discussions of the National Museum and its constituent institutions – the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design, Museum of Contemporary Art, National Gallery, National Exhibitions and National Museum – Architecture. Exhibitions in other galleries, museums, organisations and associations in Norway are also documented. The collection is continuously updated.
To request materials, contact the National Museum’s library or send an

Materials can be viewed in the library reading room, where photocopiers are also available.
