Purchases and Donations
Developing our collections through purchases and donations is an important aspect of the museum’s social responsibility.
The museum builds and supplements its collections through the acquisition, primarily, of contemporary works by national artists, but also of works by international artists of special significance to the collections. We focus especially on acquiring major works and broader selections from the oeuvres of individual artists of particular relevance in terms of historic period, material categories, or other areas of the collections.
